At Red Learning, we believe in the power of education to empower individuals from all backgrounds. We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment that reflects the communities we serve. This extends to our internal team as well. We recognize that a diverse workforce brings a wealth of perspectives and experiences that are crucial to creating high-quality educational experiences for all learners.
This report outlines our policies and practices related to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) in staffing, hiring, and employment at Red Learning.
DE&I Policy Statement
Red Learning is dedicated to building a team that reflects the diversity of our student body and the broader world. We value talent, skills, and experiences regardless of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, disability status, or socioeconomic background. We are committed to providing equal opportunities for all qualified applicants in all aspects of employment, from recruitment and selection to promotion and development.
Current DE&I Efforts
We are actively working towards building a more diverse and inclusive team. Here are some of our ongoing efforts:
Inclusive Job Postings: We use inclusive language and diverse imagery in our job postings to attract a wider pool of qualified candidates.
Diverse Interview Panels: We strive for diverse interview panels composed of individuals with varied backgrounds and experiences. This ensures a more comprehensive evaluation of candidates and reduces potential bias.
Skills-Based Assessments: We focus on skills-based assessments throughout the interview process. This allows us to identify the most qualified candidates based on their abilities and experience, rather than on criteria that may inadvertently disadvantage certain groups.
Unconscious Bias Training: We provide unconscious bias training for all hiring managers and recruiters. This training helps to identify and mitigate potential biases in the hiring process.
Employee Resource Groups (ERGs): We are actively exploring the creation of Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to provide a platform for employees from diverse backgrounds to connect, share experiences, and contribute to a more inclusive workplace culture.
Future Goals:
We are committed to continuous improvement in our DE&I efforts. Our future goals include:
Setting specific targets for increasing diversity within our workforce.
Partnering with diverse organizations and attending job fairs specifically focused on underrepresented groups in the educational technology field.
Developing mentorship and professional development programs that support the growth and advancement of employees from diverse backgrounds.
Conducting regular surveys and focus groups to ensure our DE&I initiatives are effective.
