National Contact Management Association
The National Contract Management Association (NCMA), a 501(c)(6) corporation created the Contract Management Institute (CMI), a 501(c)(3) organization, in 1991 to focus on education and research in acquisition management through contributions from individuals and organizations. While the CMI (hereinafter referred to as the Institute), achieved several objectives, its efforts dwindled, and it has not operated as an entity in several years. The continued growth and development of NCMA as the premier authority on contract management standards and certifications for contract management professionals has prompted renewed interest in establishing the Institute to provide research, analysis, and promote innovation.
